Statement of Faith
We embrace the following core truths as revealed by God in the Bible:
I. THE WORD OF GOD
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters it addresses of faith and conduct.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 8:31-32; John 20:31; Acts 20:32
II. THE TRINITY
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, and that they fulfill distinct but harmonious roles in creating, sustaining, and redeeming the works of His hands.
Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-3; Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6
III. GOD THE FATHER
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He infallibly foreknows all that shall come to pass, that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Luke 10:21-22; Matthew 23:9; John 3:16; 6:27; Romans 1:7, 19-20;
Deuteronomy 4:39; 1 Timothy 1:1-2, 2:5-6; 1 Peter 1:3; Revelation 1:6

IV. JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God. While remaining fully God, He became fully man as the virgin-born son of Mary. As Messiah, He fulfilled Old Testament
prophecies of the Messiah. He was rejected, condemned, crucified, buried in a tomb, on the third day arose bodily from the dead, and appeared to many eye witnesses. He ascended into heaven in a glorified body, is presently sitting at the Father's right-hand interceding on our behalf. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will return personally with power, raise the dead and judge the world.
Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1, 14; John 14:1-3; John 18-20; Acts 1:9-11;
Acts 13:29-31; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 7:25, 8:1-2; Hebrews 9:28; I Timothy 3:16

V. THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit who imparts new life to those who believe in Christ.
Through his indwelling presence and transforming power he gives assurance and equips believers for holy living and effective service.
John 3:5-6, 16:7-14; Romans 8:9, 14-16; Galatians 5:22-25; Ephesians 1:13-14; 3:16

VI. MAN AND HIS NEED
Man was created in the image of God to be able to fellowship with God. Because of Adam's sin, man suffered a change in his essential nature, the marring of God's image, and became hostile to God. Now all human beings are born with Adam's sinful nature and are under condemnation. They are unable to secure God's favor through their own efforts and need a spiritual regeneration before they can become what God created them to be.
Genesis 1:26-27, 3:1-24; John 3:3; Romans 3:22-24, 7:17-18, 8:7-8; 2 Cor. 5:17; Col. 3:10;
VII. REDEMPTION
Jesus lived a sinless life, fulfilling God's law, thus qualifying Him to bear the sins of the world in His body on the cross and to be a substitute for sinners. He became sin for sinners and experienced the punishment for their sin, His blood thus satisfying the just demands of the righteous God. By convicting sinners, the Holy Spirit alerts people to God’s offer of reconciliation. All who respond by putting their trust in Jesus alone are made righteous, are reconciled to God, and are given eternal life. Salvation is by grace through faith.
Matthew 5:17; John 3:16, 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:10, 18; 2 Corinthians 5:21;
Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 3:9; I Peter 1:18-19

VIII. THE CHURCH
We believe in the church; the living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, associated for worship, spiritual protection, equipping for service, and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8, 2:42, 20:28-31; Ephesians 2:19-22, 4:11-16;
1 Timothy 3:15; Hebrews 10:23-25; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

IX. CHRISTIAN CONDUCT
We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God, including loving care for his fellow men, blameless conduct before the world, being a faithful steward of the gospel, his life, and possessions, and seeking to realize for himself and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.
1 Corinthians 10:31; Romans 12:1-2; John 15:12-14; Hebrews 12:1-2;
2 Corinthians 5:18-20; 1 Timothy 6:17-19; Colossians 1:9-10; Ephesians 4:11-13

X. THE LAST THINGS
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will return personally in glory, raise the dead and judge the world. We believe all people will rise from the dead — those who are in Christ to enjoy eternal life with God and those who are lost to suffer eternal punishment along with the devil and his angels.
John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18;
1 Corinthians 15:50-58; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Revelation 20:10-21:4
